At Early Dawn
When
I awake 'tween night and dawn,
In wonder I stand and listen.
I hear a songbird or see a fawn
On the grass where dew drops glisten.
In
the moments between the night and day
The stars still sparkle and shine.
But the sun's waking up, slow to be sure,
And the day will shortly be mine.
And
now it is day with a bright, shining sun.
The mezmorizing moments are through.
A fresh, new day has at last begun,
And my walk with God this day brand new!
