Candle In The Dark

When I'm very troubled
And the road seems very dark,
I look around and then I see
A tiny little spark.

I thought I saw a little hope,
But still I wasn't sure.
I looked at the spark that shone,
At the soft light oh so pure.

Intrigued, I watched the little candle
Grow brighter bit by bit.
Surprised I was to finally see
The cause of all of it.

An angel started the tiny flame
To draw my eyes to her.
Then others came to clarify
And combined their light so pure.

You are the angel that I found
That lit the tiny spark.
Then others spread their loving light
To conquer all the dark.

Angel dear I thank you
For the light of love you bring.
You've shown the light that makes me know
That through it all my heart will sing.
