Dark Skies Turn
Sometimes the sky seems dark as night
Though it's the middle of the day.
My heart is trembling in sheer fright
And it seems surely I have lost my way.
Then I see a light, though it may be dim,
An angel He sends to show His love.
A warmth that could only come from Him.
A hand slips around mine like the softest glove.
"The trials have been many, my child, it's true.
But through it all you have stood tall.
Sometimes you thought your heart would break,
But I held you close to me through it all."
And He said I'd know peace and strength again.
But I needed to wait patiently for a while.
There will be sweet relief from all of my pain,
And I again remember how to smile.
