The Guide
When
the struggles of life overwhelm me,
And I feel I simply must get away,
Then I escape in peaceful slumber
To see where I’ll end up today!
Through
eyes that are closed I see him.
And I can’t help but smile, you see,
God sends me an eagle to guide me
And there for a while I’m free.
The
eagle comes to me so gently
And he gracefully lifts me away.
We fly through the mountains and valleys
Till the struggles and storms drift away.
When
he feels my relief I’m awakened
And I feel so much more at ease.
I get on my knees and give thanks once again
For His love and for giving me peace.
