Dear military persons,
I want you to know I thank God for you and pray for your safe return every day. I pray also for those you left behind. I am very grateful you are serving God and our country. I am aware the hardships are great and the rewards few. But know there are those who love you and are thankful for all you are and do.

My dad served in the army in WWII. My brother was in the Air Force for 25 years. And I have two nephews in the army now. I am proud of them all. And I am proud of our military people. (I cannot say men any more because we have many fine women serving also.)

Please accept my thanks and prayers.

God bless and keep you all!

I have many angels, too many to list all here. To "my" military hero's I say
thank you for all you are doing for everyone, we pray for you daily. For my
dear friends back home I say thank you for keeping my spirits up when I'm so
very homesick and miss you all very much. To my dear friend back home
Kathy, host of this wonderful site, I say thank you for always having time
for me, for helping me numerous times with my computer problems, as well as
"worldly" problems. You and Dawn are my angels :-) For all those angels
who helped the folks that were affected by the tornado's and hurricaine's I
thank you and know that you were sent from God to help those people, for
only angel's have the courage, time and thoughtfullness to do so. God Bless
you all and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Our congregation has 2 men at risk in Iraq and another somewhere in the
middle east. We haven't heard from him in a long time. We all pray that
all of them will be safe and in God's loving care. I want to say that we
pray for our troops every time we come together as a church congregation
and individually at our homes and at work. We hate war as much as anyone
but we know if things are not stopped here and now where ever evil exist
that it might not be very long before we will be fighting the terrorist
here in our own homeland. I know our soldiers haven't forgotten what
happened on September 11, 2001 but it seems many of our citizens have
forgotten or think it can't happen again. Being a ex-military career man
I know what these brave heros are going through. It isn't only being
separated from their friends and families it is the hardships in the
field that undermines the body and soul of our me. Anything that comes
from home is cherished and held onto like it was gold. Letters and now
e-mails from their friends and loved ones keep them going with the hope
that they will be able to see, touch, hug and kiss their families again.
God Bless each and every one of these brave men and women that are in
harms way.

To all the soldiers wherever you are, Thank you. There seems little this year to make me say I am proud to be an American, at least in the media. Back stabbing, name calling, illegal things going on, all to get power. But, one thing always stand out, the men and women who serve in the military, who give these ingrates freedoms they don't deserve, and take for granted.I am forever proud of you, each one of you.You stand tall, above the rest. You inspire us, and give us hope, for humanity, as well as this country. While you you still serve the flag will still wave, and I can still pray to a God I know watches over us all. I salute you. I sit in my safe and comfortable home this morning trying to think of
words that will express my feelings for you in "harms way".
Love and respect are the first two words that come to mind.
Prayers for your safe return is also right up there also.
I can't begin to know the life and death that surrounds you daily, but
Bill and I can tell you how truly proud we are of each of you.
We on the home front are pushing to get you what it will take to
make you as safe as possible in battle and back home as soon as
possible.
Just know that you are thought of each and every day.

Dear Soldiers....

I am writing to you even if I don't know any of you there because you are protecting my children and their children's future. I have much respect for all of you over there. If my son would not have died in 1987 I know he would be right there next to you doing what he felt in his heart was right. Right now you all feel like sons and daughters to me. I worry over your safety and I have much pride in your bravery and loyalty to our country. I know not all of you agree one hundred percent with our President's decisions to keep forces over there but I admire your loyalties to our country. I don't know if I could face such things as you do now and remain there without protest.

My youngest daughter's husband is training to go over there right now as you read this. He is in the National guard and is being detailed to Iraq in January. Up until now the "war" had not directly touched my family. I see my daughters worries, grief and fears and yet I am so proud of her ability to remain confident in her husband's commitment.

Your courage and dedication has given me a new boost to my own patriotism. The meaning of the flag has risen back to its former glory, the patriotic songs have me putting my hand over my heart again and my head is held high knowing I am an American and my children and my children's children's future are being protected by the most courageous and patriotic young men and women that any country could have!!!

I thank you with all my heart. My whole family does! You have my biggest prayers every night that you are kept safe and that your return home will be soon. Even though I do not know you ... in my heart your are the nation's biggest hope for a continuing country that puts personal freedom and the pursuit of happiness first before political gain.

God Bless You and may he keep you safe from harm and far from feeling hopeless. YOU all are respected and appreciated.

Sincerely,
With Love

To all the troops overseas,

I know you guys have it rough and all of us here at home are aware of this and many pray for you around the clock. Never think we do not remember the sacrifices you make, the terror and danger you face , the horror you witness each day. We do know- and we are humbled, yet proud and thankful that each of you would lay down your lives for not just your own country and loved ones, but arab strangers, many who were and may still be your enemy.

We applaud you, we hold you in the highest esteem, we weep for each loss of your comrads; we pray that this war will end and you will come safely home as the heroes you are.

Do not think you are forgotten. Do not think no one cares. This nation and the majority of its people look upon you as the soldiers of God, fighting a hellish evil. We do not doubt you will win. You live in our hearts each day and ever will.

Stay well, stay safe and watch your back!!

Love and prayers to you all

Soldiers:

You are all defenders of the freedom! You are loved, you are appreciated, you are supported and you are so very missed. The task you undertake is something that many cannot do or like myself are unable to do. I can think of no way to adequately thank you for your diligence and sacrifice. I have written a few poems for you and your folks here at home.

My husband was in the Air Force and then as now would have been willing to go and uphold this country's honor . He was fortunate enough to spend his time in the service in peace time. How much more you are giving in a time of war. God bless and keep you. May He station His angels around you and keep you safe. May the enemy experience confusion so he will make the mistakes that will allow you defeat him quickly.

You will be so welcome when you come home!!!

God bless you all; American, British and ALL of the others!

With great respect and gratitude,

Jerry and Kathy

It's Sunday morning here in Ohio.....a cool, breezy, colorful fall day. The sun is attempting to break it's way thru the haze that we often experience in the fall in our neck of the woods ,as it does it will brighten the vivid colors of the leaves on the trees. I remember how much my husband missed fall in Ohio when he was in the Military serving in another war, another time.

I also remember, as it is etched in my heart and soul, the range of emotions we went thru each and every day he was gone, the fear and uncertainty watching/reading the news or each time a letter was returned; the elation with each letter received. And, the phone calls....oh how treasured they were. Laughter, tears, humor, anger, heart-wrenching pain, joy, amazing grace and faith....all guided us along.

I pray for each of you, and for your families and loved ones you left behind. I am in awe of you for the journey you take every minute of every day for the sake of peace and freedom for us and for others so very far away from here.

My prayer is that you 'know' and 'feel' that you are not ever alone. God is there, each step of your way. He is giving you all you need within to accompany you on this journey. May you find courage and strength from 'knowing' and 'feeling' Him from within and may you 'recognize' Him on the outside as you take this journey.

With love and concern.....from Ohio.

Our Brave Military, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your bravery for going over seas to fight to keep our Country Free and your loved ones and friends safe from harm.
You left all your loved ones behind to go fight for freedom for our country. You give 100% of yourself and fight a good fight even with bare equipment, not enough to fight the senseless war we are in. Our Government are free in sending our peoople to fight in other people's war. I do believe if our government fought harder to keep peace without fighting and sending our people over in foreign countries to die for what cause? They'll still be fighting and sending our people out and bring them back home, so why go? But you do because you love our country and want to keep it safe.

I pray each day that our heavenly Father keeps you all safe and surround you with His love and know there are many people like myself waning to write and tell you how proud we are of you doing a job in protecting everthing that you love.

I know how lonely you must get being away from home. I am sending you guardian angels to keep you in good spirits. I pray for peace and not war. Love, and not hate.

May God bless America, and God bless you always.

Sailors, Soldiers, Airmen, Marines, Coasties, Guardsmen:

Thank you for your service. Our prayers are with you and your
families, daily.

My father and I were Soldiers. My uncles and in-laws were Sailors. My
dearest friends were other Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Coasties,
and Guardsmen. We served once, some in war, others in peace. Now you
serve, in a time of war. We honor that service, and recognize that you
chose to put your life and the security of your family on the line for
your values; the values which created this nation and guide us daily.
We are both humbled and thrilled by your commitment; humbled that you
put yourself in peril, and your family in stress; thrilled by your
commitment to our nation and the values and honor upon which it is
founded, and to the Constitution. We recall the oath that you took, as
it still guides the lives of we who still walk this earth, we who God
has not yet called home.

We commit to you: that your sacrifice shall not go unnoticed, nor ever
forgotten. That we shall persevere against those who might denigrate
your service. That the goal that puts you in harm's way shall be
achieved; the job finished, never abandoned. Forever the sacrifice of
you and your family shall be honored.

God bless you and yours. Again, our prayers are with you.

Jon

This is for all the brave men and women overseas
The news media and some of the people you are fighting for, may make this seem like this war is our fault. Our candidates are slinging mud and nit picking to high heaven, blame and name calling seems to be the norm nowadays. They seem to have forgotten about September 11th. I am sure with all you have read or heard, it may make you wonder what in the heck you are doing over there. Here is one, FREEDOM!!!!!!!!! Remember, there are more people that are proud and thankful that you are trying to keep this country free for all the future generations and a safer place for all nations. I have a grandson who was over there and i do know of some of the heartache you may be going through. May God and His angels watch over each and everyone of you, and bring you home safely. Thank you for trying to keep America free. BLESS YOU and all your buddies.
Sandy

Please let them all know they are in my prayers, I also have a son-in-law over there, I know they need all the prayers they can get. Things are very hard on them over there. I pray for them daily. God bless, Kathy
