The Pledge
When
"it's ok" is what you need,
And in your heart for love you plead,
When you lack the faith of the tiniest seed,
I pledge that I'll be there.
When you've had a day so full of joy,
Or you've found yourself a brand new toy,
And nothing on earth could possibly annoy,
I pledge that I'll be there.
When you need no more than a hand to hold,
When you feel your dreams have all been sold,
Then you'll know our friendship's like the finest gold,
And I pledge that I'll be there.
If you need me night or day,
Whether near or far away,
Even when I'm old and gray,
I pledge that I'll be there.
